Air Transat

Air Transat is a popular Canadian budget carrier that operates in 60 international destinations. This airline serves approximately 3 million passengers per year and its fleet flies to domestic Canadian locations as well as international destinations like Europe, the Mediterranean Basin, the Caribbean, and Mexico. Based in Montreal, Air Transat serves in passenger transportation and product distribution. Currently, the airline distributes products in more than 50 countries.

WestJet

WestJet is a low-budget carrier offering domestic flights in Canada and international flights to the Caribbean, Mexico, and the United States. The airline schedules its flights from the Toronto Pearson International Airport and the Calgary International Airport and serves 69 destinations around the world. Its fleet comprises a total of 88 aircrafts. It also offers quality in-flight entertainment facilities like live TV on its Boeing -800 and -700 aircraft. The in-flight meal service includes complementary snacks and non-alcoholic beverages.

CanJet

CanJet started its flight services in 1999 in association with the IMP Group Limited. Based in Halifax, the airline is a budget carrier and its fleet comprises of 11 Boeing aircrafts. It schedules its flights from Halifax International Airport and serves 15 destinations in North America. In-flight meal services include complimentary non-alcoholic drinks and snacks. However, the airlines charges $3 (CAD) for in-flight entertainment. But, if you are flying south, you can get a glass of champagne for free.

Porter Airlines

Porter is a regional Canadian airline that operates from the Billy Bishop Toronto City Centre Airport and schedules flights to Boston, Chicago, Halifax, Moncton, Montreal, Mt. Tremblant, New York, Québec City, Myrtle Beach, New York, Ottawa, Sudbury and Thunder Bay. Based in Toronto, the fleet of Porter Airlines consists of 20 aircrafts. Onboard meals include snacks, soft drinks, beer, and wine. The airline also presents the VIPorter reward program, which offers free travel miles on redeemed reward points. However, in 2009, the airline’s airport operations were opposed by Toronto’s mayor and some city councilors and community groups.
